I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
